Tuberolabium kotoenseCommon Name - The Koto Tuberolabium Tuberolabium kotoense is a sweet small -sized orchid with flowers that smell like coconut . Flowers are white, purple in colour and usually bolloms during Fall - Winter. Until 1992 it was classified as a member of the genus Saccolabium. It has a shortened foliaged with two rows of stiff belt -shaped leaves reaching lengths of up to 4 in /10 cm . The species ' small ,durable flowers grow on a short ,sparse inflorescence and are whitish with purple marking on the lip . Tuberolabium kotoense's requirement of light is medium and it thrives at intermediate to warm temperature.. Grow it epiphytically in a somewhat humid semi-shade . The Tuberolabium kotoense species blooms in the sprinng and fall and come from the Philippines and Taiwan .
