Trigonidium egertonianum commonly known as Egerton's Trigonidium [English Orchid Enthusiast 1800's] is an orchid with Bizarre-shaped flowers -a great medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte in lowland forests at elevations of sealevel to 1000 meters. Trigonidium egertonianum has small (only 0.8 in/2 cm long or smaller )pseudobulbs ,ended with thin leaves reaching lengths of 14 in/35 cm. Its small (0.8 in /2 cm across) ,cup shaped flowers grow singly on thin scapes . The tepals are brown -and-white with lengthwise brown stripes and they completely conceal the tiny lip . Two conspicuous dark spots in the upper corners of the petals resemble a pair of eyes. In cultivation ,this species requires epiphytic handling .

Trigonidium egertonianum orchid should be grown in a well-ventilated envionment with lot of light and humidity

Trigonidium egertonianum blooms in early spring but is very irregular . It comes from Mexico , Colombia and is also found in Central America to Ecuador
