Trias oblonga commonly known as The Oblong Trias is an epiphyte which prefers cool to warm temperatues moderate light, high humidity levels and year round watering .The body morphology of this species - Trias oblonga has flattened pseudobulbs are barely 0.6 in/1.5 cm long and bear only a little longer ,almost ball -shaped leaf . The flowers are species -specific : they have a trio (hence the Latin generic name ) of well -developed green and yellow sepals . The other flower parts are intensely reduced.

Trias oblonga can be grown ounted on cork or tree fern. its always advisable to grow the plant epiphytically ,adding a little peat moss to the roots when mounting the plant on a support .Place the suspended supports in semi-shade and ensure above-averge air humidity . During the winter stagnation ,water the plant more sparingly .Trias oblonga blooms in early spring and its original home is Thailand and Laos.
