Paphiopedilum concolor

At first sight , this species is closely related to P. bellatulum,its life needs being also very similar. Two or three yellow flowers covered with red spots grow on spikes that reach lengths of 4.8 in /12 cm at the most. The species' variety -P.concolor var. striatum-is colored differently :it has red spots arranged in circles running lengthwise through the center of the tepals . The species blooms between May and October.It comes from the warmest regions of China,Thailand ,Burma,Laos and sothern Vietnam .
